Child Safety Standards
Last updated: May 2026
Summary. Figurapp has a zero-tolerance policy against any form of child sexual exploitation or abuse (CSAE). The application is intended for users aged 13 or older, provides accessible reporting tools, and fully cooperates with competent authorities in response to any report.
1. Minimum age of use
Figurapp is exclusively available to users aged 13 or older. This is reflected in our Terms of Service and in the age rating declared in the app stores (Google Play and App Store). Users identified as under 13 will be removed from the platform.
2. Prohibition of CSAM and CSAE content
It is strictly forbidden to publish, share, store, solicit or distribute any of the following on Figurapp:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Content that sexualizes, endangers or exploits minors in any form.
- Messages with grooming intent, recruitment or solicitation of images from minors.
- Any behavior that puts a minor at physical, emotional or psychological risk.
Accounts that violate these rules are immediately suspended and reports are escalated to competent authorities according to the applicable jurisdiction (including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children — NCMEC in the United States).
3. How to report
Any user, parent, guardian or third party can report content or behavior that puts a minor at risk:
- Inside the app: in every chat conversation there is a "Report user" button in the top bar menu, which opens a pre-filled email to our security team with the username of the reported user.
- Dedicated email: safety@figurapp.com — we respond to child safety reports within 24 business hours.
- General support email: support@figurapp.com — useful for reports that require additional context.
All reports are reviewed manually by our team and are confidential. If you request it, we can contact you for additional information without revealing your identity to the reported user.
4. Prevention and moderation measures
We implement the following measures to reduce the risk of abuse:
- Mandatory email verification at registration: each account requires a confirmed valid email.
- Conditional chat: direct chat between users is only enabled when both accept a trade proposal — there is no "open chat" between strangers.
- User blocking: any user can block another at any time, ending the conversation and preventing new contacts.
- Persistence and audit: messages are retained for a limited period to allow review in case of reports; then they are deleted automatically.
- No public broadcast: there are no public walls, forums or mechanisms to share content with broad audiences.
- Immediate suspension upon credible reports of contact with minors with inappropriate intent, while investigation proceeds.
5. Cooperation with authorities
Figurapp cooperates with law enforcement and child protection agencies when we are requested information about accounts allegedly involved in crimes against minors. Credible reports involving CSAM are escalated to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or to the equivalent local authority, according to jurisdiction.
6. Legal compliance
This policy is complemented by applicable legislation, including but not limited to:
- Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) — United States.
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), with emphasis on minors — European Union and United Kingdom.
- Law No. 26.061 (Comprehensive Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents) — Argentina.
- National and local laws of the user's country of residence.
7. Designated point of contact
For legal inquiries, official requirements or coordination with authorities, Figurapp's designated point of contact is:
Email: safety@figurapp.com
Response time: within 24 business hours for child safety reports; within 72 business hours for legal requirements.
8. Updates
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in regulation or platform practices. The "Last updated" date at the beginning of the document always reflects the current version. Significant changes are communicated via in-app notification.
